The glow that comes from seeing someone you love shine hits different.
The Red Clay Strays are the hottest group on the scene right now and are riding the high of their successes. From their single “Wanna Be Loved,” which dropped this week, to announcing their forthcoming album Made By These Moments, they are capping off their news-filled week by making their national television debut on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
While these guys are humble yet thankful for all the love that they have received in the past few months as their band’s name has skyrocketed to the top of listeners’ minds, they know that this might just be temporary.
“People get popular too, and they’re popular for however long, and then time goes by, and nobody knows who they are anymore. That could very well be us. Who knows? Just try and be thankful for it and never want to be complacent I guess.
Always want to try and get better. Just be a better person, put on a better show, and be a better band…make better music.”
However, no one recognizes the hard work and celebrates every little moment more than the girlfriends and wives of musicians who are in the limelight. When their television debut aired, lead singer Brandon Coleman’s wife shared a tender reaction video of her husband on TV. Macie Coleman is jumping up and down on the hotel bed beaming as Fallon announces her husband’s band as the musical guest.
While Brandon is dialed in on the performance, and you can see his head reeling as he seems to be taking some mental notes on the performance, his wife is smiling form ear to ear the whole time. You can tell by the look on her face that proud is an understatement.
After the performance, the audience gave The Strays a much-deserving standing ovation, capping off an already fairytale-like night. These types of reaction videos put a lump in your throat.
