Her rendition of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” catapulted her into the spotlight, showcasing a voice so powerful and emotive that viewers immediately recognized a star in the making.

Fans have been revisiting the clip ever since, marveling at her control, vibrato, and sheer presence even at just 18 years old, with many noting that her early talent was “mind-blowing” and comparing her natural power to legendary vocalists.
Christmas’ ability to convey both technical mastery and deep emotional resonance has become her signature. From the very first note of her iconic recording, listeners were drawn into her world, commenting on the extraordinary strength and musicality of her voice.
Some described being “blown away” by her BGT audition, while others celebrated her as a “real-world found talent,” highlighting that her dedication and skill have long deserved global recognition. One fan even remarked that Barbra Streisand “ain’t got nothing on Sydnie,” reflecting the remarkable impression her early performances left on viewers.

Since then, Christmas has continued to evolve her artistry, writing and performing original music that reflects her life, experiences, and personal style. In a candid conversation at Bizarre HQ, she revealed: “I never thought I’d have an album of original songs. I have been writing since I was young and never thought I’d see the light of day. Now, as an adult, I am getting the opportunity to write and work out my style. People have seen me and just think, ‘She’s musical theatre,’ which is all I’ve ever known—but it’s not all I sing, or have ever sung. I am really enjoying the process. It’s talking about my life and my adventures and my experiences.”

Christmas also maintains close connections with mentors and industry figures, planning to share her new demos with BGT judge Amanda Holden to gain feedback without ever feeling pressured to promote her music. Her dedication to craft is matched by a busy performance schedule: having just wrapped a run as Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, she is now set to headline her own One Night Only-style show in London’s West End, including a performance at the Adelphi Theatre on September 9th, which will also be filmed for PBS in America.
She promises fans a fresh experience with new songs, carefully selected medleys, and a dazzling stage presence: “I try and be clever when I pick what songs I want to do. I think, ‘Where do I want to be in the future?’ so if I want to be in a certain musical I may do a medley from that, and hopefully if any casting directors come to the show they think they could see me in that show and then maybe I get an audition. I’ve got all my sparkly outfits lined up… I love the glitter and feeling that energy.”

From her first viral recording to standing ovations on the BGT stage and now her own headline shows, Sydnie Christmas’ rise is a testament to natural talent, relentless dedication, and an ability to connect deeply with audiences.
Fans continue to celebrate her journey, with many commenting on her early performances as “stunning” and “special,” praising the way she has stayed true to herself while captivating viewers around the world. Christmas’ story proves that stars can be born long before the world even sees them—and when they do, their brilliance is impossible to ignore.
